The survey results show that the mean time between failure of independent brands of excavator products with medium (more than 15 tons and less than 25 tons) and small (less than 15 tons) tonnage is close to or even higher than that of foreign brands, and the reliability has been greatly improved. Among them, Sany pressed foreign brands such as Komatsu and Hitachi for 1048.35 hours without failure

no fault but time refers to the average working time between two adjacent faults. The longer the time, the less frequent the failure occurs in the product life cycle. It is an important indicator to describe the product quality and reflect the product reliability from the time dimension

in this survey, Sany excavator products ranked first among the six brands surveyed with an average time between failures of 1048.35 hours, longer than 1009.2 hours for Komatsu products and 999.86 hours for Kobelco products. The products of the other two independent brands Liugong and Yuchai ranked fifth and sixth with 881.44 hours and 748.09 hours respectively

the survey also shows that the hydraulic system of both Chinese and foreign brands has a high failure rate, while the failure rate of the electrical system of independent brands is much higher than that of foreign brands, and the failure rate of body and structural system accessories is higher than that of foreign brands.
